New This Year – Beer and Wine Tastings!

MOC’s Tenth Annual Taste of North Central will be celebrating a decade of delicious food, music and fun on Wednesday, November 19th at the DoubleTree Leominster. 2014’s Taste of North Central is expected to be, once again, the event of the year as participants enjoy delectable treats from the region’s best restaurants. Tickets this year are $40 for general admission and $80 for VIP access.

New Features!

Beer & Wine Tasting: This year’s event now includes quality beers and wine served by Wyman’s Liquors.

VIP Tickets: For those interested in a more personal experience at the tasting, VIP tickets will get you pre-entry access beginning at 4:30 p.m. and includes all the tastings including beer and wine.

Electronic Bidding: Bidding at the silent auction has never been easier or faster with this new electronic option hosted by BidPal that lets bidders use a mobile device to place bids. Get ready to bid in advance by pre-registering with BidPal for the evening’s event.

Go Local!

Last year’s Taste of North Central showcased 34 of the region’s best restaurants and proved that locally owned restaurants are not only delicious, but an important part of the community. Sonoma, Apple Hill Farm and Country Club, the Fay Club and Mezcal Tequila Cantina are just a few of the restaurants that participated. Plan on finding your new favorite local spot here.

Why is the Taste of North Central important?

This major event is paramount in MOC’s continued effort to support the agency’s mission to alleviate poverty and create healthy communities by providing services, coordinating community resources that promote self-sufficiency and advocating for social change. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Montachusett Opportunity Council’s programs for children and families. A portion of the proceeds raised this year will replenish an emergency fund to help families cope with fuel and food costs this winter. For a list of programs that benefited from last year’s event, please visit MOC’s website.
