Celebrating its 8th fantastic year in 2012, the great blend of delectable food, music and fun attracts over 600 people to the Holiday Inn Fitchburg and Coco Keys Water Resort on the Wednesday the week before Thanksgiving for the “event of the year”! This year, MOC’s “Taste of North Central” will be held on Wednesday, November, 14th at the Holiday Inn and Coco Keys Water Resort located conveniently on Route 31 in Fitchburg.

Last year’s Taste of North Central showcased 34 of the best local restaurants in the region and proved that locally owned restaurants are an important part of the community. Sonoma, Apple Hill Farm and Country Club, the Fay Club and Mezcal Tequila Cantina are just a few of the restaurants that participated. There is something for everyone!

This major event is paramount in MOC’s continued effort to support the agency’s mission is to alleviate poverty and create healthy communities by providing services, coordinating community resources that promote self-sufficiency and advocating for social change. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Montachusett Opportunity Council’s programs for children and families. A portion of the proceeds raised this year will replenish an emergency fund to help families cope with fuel and food costs this winter.
